Our relationships with associates both internationally and within China are beneficial to the global business development of our clients.

China

In the early nineties, following the opening of the China market Cheng & Cheng Limited set up its first affiliate accounting firm based in Shenzhen, China. The team there consists of local Chinese Certified Public Accountants. In addition to this, Cheng & Cheng Limited also has strong ties within China including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Wuxi and Guangdong provinces, i.e. Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, etc. These relationships have been established through regular referrals and are helpful to clients requiring cross state services.

With firms in both China and Hong Kong we are able to provide professional advice on both auditing and accounting, and are also able to meet the tax concerns of a wider clientele. This venture has to date proved successful and we predict will continue with China's markets continuing to make international news especially after their entry into the World Trade Organization and the new double tax arrangement between China and Hong Kong Tax Authorities.

Services most commonly provided by our China firms are:-
  • Auditing, Accounting & Taxation
  • Advice on investment in China
  • Assisting with applications to establish businesses in China, such as:
    • Joint ventures
    • Representative offices
    • Sub-contracting businesses
    • Foreign owned enterprise
  • Assistance in registering new businesses in China with government departments (Customs, Foreign Exchange Control, Tax Bureau)
  • China related consultation services

Overseas

We are eager to expand and explore new opportunities in both local and overseas markets. We are presently associated with some local accounting and law professionals in Singapore, Canada, Japan and Australia, and are looking to further expand our business globally with interested professionals.
